Visiting Ile aux cerfs (Deer island) by speedboat is one of the most popular marine excursions in Mauritius. It is a marine outing full of discovery, ideal for young people in search of thrilling sensation!

The trip to Ile aux cerfs (deer island) by speedboat starts at 9 am at Trou-d'eau-douce, in the eastern part of Mauritius. On board, the crew members will welcome you with their local tales, jokes, and local music.

After a morning navigation in the eastern lagoon, the speed-boat will drop you on Ile aux cerfs (deer island) to enjoy its nice white sandy beaches and turquoise lagoons.

The speed boat will collect you in the late morning for some fast navigation toward the Grand River South East waterfall, then continues around the surrounding islets before leaving you on Mangénie island where you will be served a delicious barbecued lunch of chicken, fish, sausage accompanied by a rice salad, potato salad and tropical fruits. As drinks you will get wine, beer, rum, water and soft drink as per requirement.
Lunch will be accompanied by the sound of the sega played by local musicians. Sega dancers, dressed in their traditional dance dresses will initiate you to the swaying of this folk music.
After lunch, the speedboat will drop you back on Ile aux cerfs (deer island) where you can spend the rest of the afternoon to enjoy the beach as well as the various craft markets and water sports.
